Yanet Sanchez

Executive Chef

Yanet Sanchez has served as Executive Chef at the Neighborhood House since 2022. She previously served as Sous Chef after initially joining our Food Services team as a Cook in 2004. Yanet first joined us as a volunteer in 2000 when her children were students in our Early Childhood Center. Previously, Yanet worked as a bus driver for a school for special needs children and ran her own business baking cakes for private clients. Yanet grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States in 1994. She is a graduate of Kingsborough Community College (Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts) and is fluent in Spanish.
